DOCTOR SLUMS IN UBTH
Dr Egigba was a general surgeon and senior registrar in the department of Surgery at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital UBTH. He slumped and died at the Accident and Emergency Unit while rushing to revive a patient. It was revealed he had performed four surgeries back to back before slumping as he was rushing to revive another patient. The hospital’s specialist gathered to revive him but it was a failed attempt. He was a hardworking and wonderful doctor that was valued and loved by patients and everyone who crossed his path.
