YEMISI OYEYEMI- THE AMAZON

Born out of the maternal instinct to meet the urgent needs of officers and men of the corps living in the area not easily accessible to good and quality health care, Mrs Bolanle Oluwayemisi Oyeyemi undertook this bold and giant project that literally seemed impossible and executed it excellently.

A woman with great foresight who has translated one of her visions to optical reality with the building of Road Safety Officers Wives (ROSOWA) health care centre in Wole Soyinka FRSC estate in Kuchikau, and furnished it with the state -of -the-art equipment that leaves no one in doubt that the health care facility is determined not to merely exist as the usual decimal but to be of great service to officers and men of the corps who live in that environ.

Her maternal disposition in executing the project is to the great delight and huge relief of the officers and men of the Corps who in the past had to suffer agonizing traffic gridlocks from Nyayan, Masaka, Maraba, and Karu to seek medical attention at the also well-equipped FRSC clinic located in the heart of Abuja.

Since its commissioning in September 2016, the health centre has recorded huge successes in less than six months of existence such that it is self- sustaining and does not require financial support from the FRSC. The health centre may be the very first project of its kind ever to be executed by any officer’s wives association in the military and paramilitary sector. To say the feat recorded in the health centre is impressive is an understatement, the record of successful surgeries carried out, including caesarean sections of healthy babies undertaken by the crop of well trained and highly skilled medical personnel of the Corps is highly commendable.

Yemisi as she is fondly called, is a woman of warm vibe and aura, so humble that it belies her intelligence and ability. An amazing woman with great entrepreneurial acumen and a fearless streak that surmounts hurdles that could test the heart of the very brave. A woman that can be described as a mezzo forte ( a mezzo forte is a musical instrument  used softly  in music without loudness), who executes projects in rapid succession without making noise about it.

Aside from the hospital project, she has donated playground equipment to several Motherless Babies homes in Abuja under the auspices of Road Safety Officers Wives (ROSOWA) an association whose flagship is basically humanitarian in nature with distinct identity in the yearly donation in cash and material items to accident victims and orphanages across the nation on designated dates of the year.

Her incredible journey to the much coveted and prestigious seat of National President of Road Safety Officers Wives Association (ROSOWA) began when events telescoped her husband to the enviable position of Corps Marshal and Chief Executive officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps in July 2014, the first career officer to be appointed as Corps Marshal.

Her unwavering devotion to her God and her absolute dedication to her family is legendary with prayer as the compass of her life. Bolanle Oluwayemisi Oyeyemi is a deaconess of the Living Faith church, the torch of her good and very solid Christian life was lit way back as a little girl in the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC).

She is married to the erudite, dynamic pacesetter and path finder, Boboye Olayemi Oyeyemi PHD, the Corps Marshal and Chief Executive of the Federal Road Safety Corps, son of a fiery preacher of the Christ Apostolic Church extraction, from Odo Owa in Kwara state. They have been married for over two decades and they are blessed with three highly disciplined, respectful, kingdom minded godly children, Olayemi, Babayemi and Heavens Yemisi Oyeyemi.
